I own this lens and its one of the best macro lenses I've used - and its very light weight.
It's my first, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased. Other than this, I've just been using a set of crappy extension tubes that were pretty wobbly and prone to flare. I love how light it is, light enough that it's been tagging along more often than a heavier lens would. Mine has a six-blade aperture, which is a bit disappointing - I'd have preferred the 7-bladed aperture that I have in my Nikon 50mm f/1.8 and Nikon 35-70mm.
I've been thinking about one of the 50-60mm f/2.8 macro lenses for the longest time, something like your Yashica 55mm f/2.8.

Before selling RX1 I walked the "tourist route" in town to give it one last chance to convince me to keep it. Then when I got the FE 28/2 I took the same walk, to get a feeling for how they compare.
Some FE shots (the others are in the RX1 thread). The houses are crooked in real life - it's not caused by the lens distortion in this case.
And what are your thoughts? Are you going to keep it or are you happier shooting the A7?
Loxia 35mm. Ultimately, it's a lens that left me rather disappointed. Image quality is outstanding stopped down and decent wide open, but frankly, my FD 35/2 has 99% of the image quality of the Loxia: only wide open contrast and vignetting, and perhaps flare resistance are really different between them. Otherwise, they're extremely similar and the FD is even a smidge sharper in the corners stopped down. The Loxia would be a good lens to buy at around $600. Beyond that, it's a bit much, and I think it's crazy at $1,299. Anyway, I do like this shot:

Nice image but a bit too small (IMHO)

Yes, I agree this is small however I did not want to post a very wide image because I find that very frustrating when viewing on a tablet, as many must do! There are 1600 & 2000 pixel wide versions via my Flickr photostream

When I got FE28 I had actually already sold RX1 (sorry about being unclear). I hoped that I'd like RX1 more after it had been repaired, but it didn't take long to realize that my feelings hadn't changed. So, I sold it the next day and bought FE 28 to have something with AF for family photography etc.. When RX1 gets it right it is generally a little sharper and has nicer bokeh, but I much prefer shooting with A7 and FE28 (btw. that kit is only about 150g heavier even though it has a better grip, EVF and tilting screen), so I'm willing to accept a slight loss in image quality. Besides, I have my beloved MF lenses for "serious" photography.
Mamiya 24mm fish (645 lens) : A7r
Uncorrected but some had minor crops to get rid of some vignetting at the top from a sloppy flocking job on my adapter
Here is an image looking at farmers fields along Loch Valley Road, New Tripoli, PA.taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 180mm f3.4 ApoTelyt lens and my A7r camera, ISO 100, lens set to about f16 for 1/20 second. Processed in LR6.
Helena: Beautiful, colorful houses. One doesn't get to see that type of architecture over here, so that was a refreshing sight.
Bob: Excellent use of the Batis lenses. I probably have to get that 85 1.8 at some point.
Werner: Great use of the 90 Macro. That picture with the drop is amazing.
Ronny: There is little left for me to say, except that every time I visit this thread you've done it again. Really amazing.
Here are two recent shots both taken with the a7r and Elmarit 90. Initially, I had thought about trading it for the Batis 85mm, but I can't part with that lens. The cool rendering, the micro contrast and the Mandler look wide open all in a very small, neat package is just great. It'd be great, if the a7r II allowed some of the wider Leica lenses not named WATE to shine in combination with an a7 series camera.
