Here is a recent image taken from the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA with my tripod mounted "new" Canon new fd 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7rISO 100 (lens set to about f11 for 1/60 second.). Image processed in LR6.
A7rM Sony FE 24-240mm At this altitude the mountain foliage and water exhibit an unusual palette of colors quite different from the lower altitudes. I just want to point out that I am not altering the colors. They are a different.

Wooow Dale... fantastic set!!! Your super zoom shines in your hands. Love also your PP with lots of details (almost 3D)

Thanks Mike and Manuel for you kind words. The FE 24-240 lens continues to amaze me with its IQ. I can't wait to use it on the A7R II. The added stabilization should really help with this big lens even though it already does very well as it is. I keep thinking that I have the best copy of the lens in existence! It just never impresses me in reviews.
Yes, it is true that I like the 3D look created by sharp focus and deep field depth more than I like shallow depth of field which often shows off the lens more than the image in my opinion. That diversity of ideas is what makes this thread so enjoyable to me.
Michiel, excellent... nice composition and good performance of C/Y: is the 35-70mm F/3.4? Any distortion correction?
Thanks Gregg... a historic building in US?!? Rather rare, isn't it?

Historic for us(U.S.) is a few hundred years! I believe the hotel is from the late 1800's early 1900's...
