Finally, a7r plus g28, g35, g45, and g90. The g35 looks really nice on the a7r compared to any digital I've seen it on before. Looking forward to trying mine out!

That's a good call, but I think everyone here would love to see what you could do with an A7 and all those cool lenses you have - especially the Rokkor 58/1.2. I know you love the lens in the RX1 but I'm always left feeling it's just a bit too perfect and smooth.
thanks! just noticed this post.
i'm excited to see what how my rokkors do on the a7(maybe R?) too. i'm not much of an early adopter though. i'd be happy to post lots of pictures with any lens i can lay my hands on if sony wants to lend me a camera though.
i agree that sometimes the rx1 lens can be a bit too perfect, but it has enough SA wide open that it never seems too harsh to me. when i need some funkiness i can always use a NEX and jupiter-3 or rokkor or whatever.
corners of the 35mm:
F2 aperture, followed by a G35, M35/2, and vm35/1.2. G35 maximum aperture at the corners soft, this result is not surprising. Vm35 benchmark, almost the same corner M35 and vm35, should be able to deduce the A7 transfer M35 corner is good.
For comparison I also included the Zeiss Alpha Vario-Sonnar 24-70/2.8 (VS* images).
So, amazing central detail (even with the wide angle lenses you can see the top of Wembley Stadium, 13 miles away) but also further confirmation of the problems with ray angles elsewhere in the image.
Later in the day I was about to borrow a 16-18-21mm TRI_ELMAR from Red Dot Cameras (http://www.reddotcameras.co.uk/, images labelled TRI*) which fared better.

So VG900 did better? That's not a good sign... Seems like my 21SEM and 28Cron are out
I guess we have to wait for the native Zeiss manual wide prime...
I hate this thread, I really do. We have photos of lenses as long as 35 proven useless. We have photos of lenses as wide as 15 proven effective. Nobody knows anything. Up is down. Right is left. Republicans are running a zebra finch instead of Marco Rubio in 2016.
