Oops, I stopped down on purpose by accident intentionally.
These are excellent and the first photos I've seen taken with this lens that really makes me want to buy it. Stopping down a bit seems to work very well and the beautiful and very harmonic bokeh is still maintained. This might become very dangerous for my wallet
Elijah, now this is lovely work. The mood and ambience created (or "captured" depending on one's artistic perception) is excellent. I should add that I am not a fan of the 58/1.4, but for this type of work, and in the right hands, it does stand alone.

Thanks Elijah. Back at you! Very nice shots. I like shooting weddings, but man are they stressful. Great captures.

Thanks guys! ariel, yes, sometimes I have a love/hate relationship with this lens.
96% love relationship and 4% hate relationship (mounted on my DF)

Ouch! poor little Aimee but this is what I'm imagining:
Aimee: Dad I got a booboo!!
Jason: Hold it, don't move, let me get my camera!!
Aimee: DADDD hurry up it's bleeding!!
Jason: Hold on I'm trying to focus here.. wait, let me try AF-C
Aimee: DADDDDDD!!!
Jason: Crap I have the wrong lens
Aimee: MOMMM!!!
Jason: Ok go to mommy, I need to post this on FM. lol
Aimee lemme see, click, done. I wanted to capture her first bloody injury lol
She's a bruiser like me. She didn't even realize she got cut until she held out her hands and asked for gloves because she was playing with ice. She only freaked when mom suggested a bandaid. Those are associated with shots.

Hi Jason, forgive me if this is stupid question, but did you do anything to this image in post?
My guess is that you are going to say no, but the reason I ask is that everything other than the hand looks so unusual? painterly? Im not sure what word Im looking for here?
I guess I was just curious as to whether that was just how the lens drew it, if that is the case, thats quite something.
Or is this just what you all mean by cream bokeh? am I just looking at a really good example?

Hmm... Let's see I just zoomed in 1000%, I should be able to see her reflection in each droplet but I can't. Just stick with the 50mm f1.8 for sharpness, jk!
