Haha! I wish, I SHOULD be spending more time with the M10.
This season has been insane. I overbooked on weddings/shoots for sure... No time to use the M10

Aha, that explains the obsession towards BW. Since you can't play with M10, you shoot as if you were using it
Great series. Timeless qty of BW works great with these shots.

20/28/58 is a great arrangement
you probably wouldn't miss 35.
elijah just has a special love for his 35.
he made great images with all of these lenses.
FL is a completely personal thing. it's almost like asking what color car should I get?
these FL 28/35 are close, but it's up to you to decide which is best.
28 is just a step wider.
Couldn't agree more, nothing in the world wrong with the 35, but I dumped my 24 and 35 for the 28e, never been happier.
the only issue is that the 58 is not going to be anywhere near as sharp on the d850 as the 28, obviously.
Have gotten a lot of help from many good contributors in this forum with regard to the 58. I just received mine a few days ago... seems I am about 4 years late to the party. Anyway, one really helpful thing has been many of the images posted here. Also, as a side note, I have noticed how the postings--by the time they go from computer through to thread--get diminished a good bit (just an FYI to all). I say this because I just put the same images I'm linking to here on Flickr, on other sites, and I noticed the "zoom-in" view on Flickr is MUCH sharper (like my original at 100% on my computer) than others I have posted in other places.
Anyway, here is a link to some images I took the other day with the 58, and I was trying to take them in unfavorable conditions, most anyway. They are wide open (shot at f/1.4), on a D800e, 6400 ISO. Link:
That's very good set. If you don't mind me asking, how is this done? /what is a process? Do you set exposure for background first and then just add external flash and play with flash settings? I always end up with way too dark background and you have it just right. Wonder what's the trick
