Hello Friends :o)
Just thought I'd share a couple that reminded me why I still enjoy this lens.
Nothing too special, just shooting on the fly at work.
Great feel to these images - for sure very cinematic.

Thanks,

The Df and 58mm are such a good pair. So are the X-T1 and 23mm f/2 WR. I bought a little 35mm f/2 to use as a travel lens on the Df. Honestly, one of these may be gone next week. I'm still trying to decide what has a permanent place in my work and travel kits.
For work right now, I have the 2 D750s, 20mm 1.4 Art, 35mm Art (which is never going anywhere), 58mm 1.4G (still a maybe), 85mm 1.8G (for weddings and headshots), 135mm 1.8 Art for weddings and portraits, and potentially the Df for both a third work camera and a travel camera.
For travel, it would be the Df and 35mm/85mm combo. Or the X-T1/23mm f/2. I got an incredible (and I mean incredible) deal on the Df, so it makes more sense to keep it than sell it back. Plus the more I shoot the 58, the more I want to keep it.
Nice setup. How are you finding the Df with 58mm mounted? Especially in regards to AF in low light?
I'm considering switching my D750 to a used Df to pair with my 58mm, as I'm slimming down on Nikon kit for a "less is more" approach. My slimmed down kit will be Leica Q (28mm f71.7) and Nikon D750 (or Df) with 58mm 1.4G. And that's it! Rest is going up for sale. Love this new more focused approached to my photography.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the Df with the 58mm.

Noooo, don't do that to yourself. The Df and 58 are both great, but neither is a low light AF monster. If you're doing any sort of professional work, stick to the D750 to help tame the AF of the 58mm.
Don't take your D750 for granted. I think people often do because it's so cheap, but that AF system has been a revelation. It'll become more apparent side by side with the Df/D600/D800's older Af module.
My Df is *strictly* for recreation and travel. I wouldn't trust it for anything else, as good as the sensor is. Also because of the single card slot...but that's just me.

Thanks a lot. I am non-pro, so in that sense my photography work is not "critical". But you would still advice sticking with the D750 to pair with 58mm? I do shoot quite a bit in low light/indoor evening light. Thoughts?
The Leica Q and Df would look awesome together though. ;-)
