I did two photo sessions with a friend who needed them for her marketing (she's an aspiring conductor in Spain, hence the dress in the second shot). I'm glad she was ok with me posting the photos here.

With some help from members here at FM, I decided to add this lens to my collection. UPS just showed up, and I immediately mounted it on my D750 to try it out. Wife is at work, so had to settle with the cat.
Shot at f/1.6 on my D750. Seems sharp enough for me right out of the box. I think I may like this lens.
^Appreciate the suggestion to go with the 58. I think I looked at most of the photos on this thread (including yours) to get some inspiration with this lens. I'm going to leave this lens on my D750 for a while to get to know it.

After travelling with the 105mm & the 58mm I'm definitely going to leave the 105mm at home.
Interesting! I do feel that a telephoto is not necessary for travel but I'm sure people will disagree.
I took my 105mm to Cancun a few months ago and didn't use it much. I'm definitely taking a 24mm f/1.4G and 58mm f/1.4g when traveling, nothing more
Two more of my friend. This one was shot for a "feature" on her in a local newspaper. Didn't have an "assistant" to hold a reflector, I think I need a stronger flash.
Quick grab as my daughter was getting ready to head out and play tennis. Finally fine tuned my lens with Reikan FoCal software. My lens is considerably sharper at F1.8 than f1.4.
