This was the only lens I took to Disney. For some reason, I try to convince myself that this "normalish" focal length is nothing special; it really is super versatile though. If I were going to take one lens on vacation, this is definitely the one.

I haven't lost it with the 58, but I feel like I have to redeem myself for those craptastic 58 wedding shots. 58 just wasn't liking the light that day. The 85 was freaking singing.
I really like the 58mm wedding shots but the 85mm are definitely awesome. I usually don't like shooting portraits at MFD and at 1.4 with this lens but sometimes it just works!
I really see the "3d" effect everyone references with this lens in this shot. I love the rendering. I've been taking my camera with me everywhere and documenting various things from work as we build out the business. It's a great lens for documentary style photography.

Slightly changed my editing style for a cleaner, more natural skin tones look. Thoughts?
(to some, the edit might look the same as my other shots)
Looks a bit less contrasty than before and the color "pop" is less strong than in your last posts (e.g. the one with the bridesmaids in the red dresses under the tree), but then the light is also more diffuse (and the clothing less colorful), so it's difficult to say what comes from your PP and what from the light. Skin tones look great and natural.
I like both looks, judging from the last photos I have printed (which looked nice on the screen but had too much contrast in print for my taste) I'd guess the new processing will translate well into print.
Another from that day at the office. The 58 just has spectacular bokeh. It turns everything to cream. Attached is a 100% crop from the bokeh in right hand side of the frame.
On my work computer, the pictures as a whole just looked really cold but after seeing them on my iPhone, the skin tones look perfect.

Curious about the out of focus white spots on the left?
