There's a handful of guys on another forum I'm on that live in Fort Mac. So far their houses are still standing. They fled north. The pictures/vids they've posted have been unreal.
Ya, some of those videos of the inferno people had to evacuate through to get out of town was unreal! Feel horrible for the people who are displaced and even worse for those that won't have a home to return to! Downturn in oil was bad enough for that community, then you add this on top of it!
Due to close quarters - I continue to use this more than the 24/1.4 or the 85/1.4. Again - confirming that - I need to commit to just taking one body with this lens and go from there versus bringing all this other crap.
Anyways - masters team competition.
Thanks for looking.

PS...I have noticed that my OOF shots have increased, so will be reviewing my technique to ensure I'm getting the most performance from this lens. I'm aware this is not the ideal low-light, action-based lens...so will make some adjustments as needed to help increase keeper rate.
Thanks, I think I'm definitely starting to get the hang of this lens. For those of you who are just starting with it, don't be discouraged. This lens is different but it's actually really exciting to work on finding out its strengths.

Whoa. Your pictures are angelic.
Those are rather magical.
It was raining. I couldnt stand not using my camera anymore (due to the endless rain) and just went out anyways! Thank god for weather sealing. I'm not quite sure how my yongnuo speedlight is doing though haha.
My niece was going to prom yesterday so I went and snapped a few of her with the 58.... This lens is amazing to me.... I can't seem to take it off of my d810.
I'm not sure if it's overexposed, but I also see a kind of "glow" on her forehead and eyes.
BTW, on the iPhone there's a nice app called "Photogene" that will let you save resized versions of photos (and do adjustments, but I don't do that on the Phone ).
