Cool shot Elijah! The part I like most about shooting weddings (something I rarely do) is when you get to go around during lulls and take the journalistic shots like this! Well done!

The water is so blue! Great pictures with vibrant color. Also, a great reminder of how sharp this lens is!
Thanks! The lens is by all time favourite that is for sure.

Those last two beach shots are *incredible*!!
Are you doing anything for fill lighting at all? It looks so wonderfully even and separated.

All natural lighting. The lighting was really nice that day. Diffused evening sun through a thin layer of clouds and then a few storm clouds out at sea created some really nice light.
Forgot to add that a polarizer was used at full strength for this shot.

How does the polarizer affect your AF with this lens? I've been meaning to grab a CP filter for general purpose use, since almost all of my lenses have 72mm filter thread, just haven't got one yet.

No noticeable difference. If anything it still acts like an F2.8 lens for focusing. Just make sure you get a circular polarizer and not a linear polarizer. Linear polarizers will mess with the af systems.

Thanks! Yup, my favorite thing to do as well Except now I will be doing this with a 200mm f/2 so nobody would see me getting close with a 58 would scare off a kid

If I were to ever break down and fork out the dough for this lens, that is the kind of shot I would want to take. Very inspiring.

Ive never tried it but I wondered how the 24 would pair up with the 58 for wedding shooting?
Ive always been a fan of both.
I'm sure it would be great.
24 vs 35, 24 can make a more interesting picture, but not a better portrait IMO
20 vs 24, 20 can make an even more interesting picture, for receptions/cars/landscape,etc
for me, the 20 1.8 G pulled me in b/c of the low weight, and low price for ED glass.
since I have the 35 Art, which makes excellent portraits (use it primarily indoor), I don't need a 24.
Could I consolidate and just have a 24 and not a 20 and 35. probably not, I think 24 distorts faces too much.
I love the combo 24mm 1.4 with the 58mm 1.4g. Also the 35mm 1.4g with the 85mm 1.4g are great as combo.
Here some examples from a last wedding i shot. same place with two bodies with the two lenses.
It's baaaaaaaack and it's working awesome again. Too bad I didn't notice the DF was put into jpeg.... I even checked my AF settings and stuff to make sure they didn't do a reset, didn't think to check if I was shooting raw or not.
