just did a wedding this weekend and it was the prettiest one I have photographed to date. Very magical, ethereal feeling and I fell in love with this shot as soon as I saw them fall into it. It was past sunset, overcast and drizzling... and it just felt stunning.
Beautiful work yourself! I have a love/hate relationship with weddings... Half of the time I want to quit shooting them but clients just keep poppin'...
Do you use noise reduction software like lightroom or something else? it has a feel of noise reduction especially in the hair and hair is just blending together even in the sharp areas. If so, perhaps you could try with out and see if you like it? some noise is acceptable and pleasing many times and gives a texture feel to the image usually.

I used some reduction with Define 2.0 but will try it next time reducing the opacity some.
This is my third time owning a 58mm but I had previously used it just on my D810 and wasn't too happy with it. Now that I've added a DF, this lens is great! Such a good combo to say the least!
These boys were absolutely wild. I was just happy I got some in focus shots! Needed a few beer after the shoot so can't imagine what the parents felt like!
^^^^super nice bike! That first and last one are great.
Got a few of the boy having fun with puddles. Wife was on her way out with him to the pumpkin patch so only have about 5 min with this. Wish i had more time to capture some more expressions.
I also love the Bike shots. Unfortunately I drive a mini van for the foreseeable future! HA
Thanks man,
on a side note, this weekend i took a tumble while it was wet during a wedding. my D800e and of course the 58mm took the brute of the fall. huge gouge in the grip of the D800, the 58 had a hood on and the hood got knocked across the courtyard and the barrel of course has more scratches on it.
i tested everything and still focuses no noises and wide open still sharp. when i hold the actual lens and jostle/ shake it.. i can hear SOME movement of the lenses inside. its not a rattle but just more like I know something is in there. i tried the same thing with my 85 and shaking did nothing.. not a peep.
was wondering if anyone could try holding the lens with NO hood and holding your ear up to it to see if you can hear anything too?
I may send everything in but for now everything seems to be still working.. lens mount doesnt appear to be bent as my other lenses mount and take pictures fine too.
guess i got lucky again.. i got to be more careful :/
Ya, my 58mm makes a slight plastic on plastic knock when I shake it back and forth. The knock changes slightly when I focus in and out so I think it is just the focus sleeve knocking against the outer shell of the lens. (not techincal by any means)
