Photo cross posted in the Sony FE Image Thread and taken at 7:01 PM on August 12, 2015 of a Fawn and a Doe White Tail Deer, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. The Fawn's eye is only partially open and when the image is sized larger than displayed, insects bothering the Deer are visible. Image taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 200, lens set to f4.5 for 1/1250 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed in LR6.

last week I went to see the magic Hallerbos, famous for it's bluebells and anemones in spring, kind of hard to make a small selection, but here are some of my pictures:
This time they are all edited in batch and I added 1% contrast and 15% saturation, apart from the normal copyright and usm of 0.3 px 35% to add a bit more punch and compensate for the neutral setting of my A7.
I don't remember what lens I used for every picture, but I only used my FD glass (all SSC), namely the 24mm 2.8 (not so much, it was a bit too wide most of the time), the 35mm 2.8 TS (a lot), the 50mm 3.5 macro, the 55mm 1.2 Asph and finally the 200mm 2.8.
Your guess is almost as good as mine, but if you really wonder about some picture, just ask and I'll try to figure it out

It's actually really famous this forest, this group was there from Hungary just to see and photograph this (and Bruges), all waiting for the light (that wasn't as good as the weather forecast said it would be):

Ok, I couldn't make a small enough selection, so I'll save part 2 for a next post, they have a bit more sun in them!

For anyone who likes them so much they can't wait to see the rest and with lots of time, here is the whole album: Hallerbos 18-04-2016 (337 photos)
And here is some more info on the Forest: http://www.hallerbos.be/en/bloom-bluebells/

Nice shot, Richard.

Just wondering -- does that deer have mange on its back?

Here's a few from my new FD 28/2, processed in LRCC.

All are wide open, at or near MFD. (X-posted on other threads)

I am growing more and more fond of the 50/1.4 SSC, so much so that i hardly ever use my ZA 55/1.8 (which is an amazingly good lens). The Canon is simply more fun to use, and performs well above what I would consider acceptable.
Trying my hand at street photography (both shot at f/2:

Stopping down to f/5.6, the sharpness is more than adequate:

I have both and I often prefer the rendering of the FD 135/2.5 to the 135/2.0. It's a highly underrated lens.
