Not a fail to me. Count me in (after I've read a few real tests).
$2800,00 is for the early adopters, just wait a few months and the price will come down with 20%

This is really the only reason I would buy it. I wish it had a shutter that required manual cocking like the old Epson RD-1 had. I can't get over the price and the 16MP sensor. 24MP I could maybe justify, again if it had an amazing viewfinder experience, but 16, uhhhh.
It's half the price of a D4, kind of like an FE /2 was about half the price of an F3. I hope it takes off, I wouldn't mind seeing a 36MP sensor in a small, lightweight body like this. In the end, an A7r is probably going to be added to my Nikon gear when I need something smaller - assuming they get some good UWA glass goin' for it.

One would think that if there was a special feature to the viewfinder that Nikon would hype it, but alas no such talk from the Amazon listing.
Will have to wait until 9pm PST to find out the specs from DPR.

Actually the pictures 'sharpen' as you drink more single malt. Just be careful of over-sharpening, or you will will be blowing artifacts on your screen . . .
But hell yeah, it's one awesome looking camera.
