The most hearty of congratulations on your milestone post Paul!! And a most excellent set of images to celebrate. Yet, despite the plethora of excellence, the roller stands out for me due to the visual balance, colors, wonderful bg and so on. Plus, it is a very pretty bird.
I checked out your blog, and was immediately drawn to the window from Bath Abbey. It is very well executed. Bravo on that image.
Knowing you are fighting such an insidious disease is saddening. Knowing your attitude in facing it is heartening, and more than cancels out that negativeness. Thank you Paul for being a strong, positive example for me, and everyone else who has a connection with you. Best wishes to your and your wife. ...Show more →
Thanks for your comments on the photo's Ken, I have to admit the roller is one of my favourites too!
Thanks too for your kind words about my situation!
You've been to great places and seen wondrous things as shown here. I encourage people to do the same while they can. You never know what is around the corner. Live to the fullest!!! Don
Terrific series, and congratulations on your 5,000th. I was going to try to pick favorite(s), but they're all so good I gave up. Each tells a story: portraits, natural action, relationships...the works.

A wonderful set of images, Paul, and I really like all of them.
The hippopotamuses image and #9 (kingfisher?) are probably my favorites.
Clone out the tree limb in the hippo shot and IMO you'll have one of the all-time great photographs of these mighty creatures.
