Each year a local independent theater holds a pledge drive on Oscar night - they have a big oscar party and they broadcast the oscars live on their large screens and all kinds of stuff.
I love how Mark Seliger has been doing these Vanity Fair portraits of Oscar winners, so this year I made up little invites and at the event I only gave them to party attendees who dressed up for the event and really really looked fantastic. For an hour I did "Academy Portraits" with a small group of people. We got a real Oscar (from "On Golden Pond" that was loaned for the event.
