Werner, I assume this also didn't need geometric correction? I tried the SL 24-90 briefly at a store and was surprised by the lack of distortion at wide angle.
I've used the usual Canikon 24-xx zooms and also Sony/Zeiss 16-xx zooms on APSC. Found them too much of a comprise. These latest Leica zooms look great, not only for geometry but also color and acuity of course. They're starting to change my mind.
Just for lens distortion a correction would not be necessary. There is o.c. a little bit of distortion with the zoom at the wide end but in most situations correction is not needed. The Lightroom profile corrects it perfect.
The S zoom is by far the very best zoom lens i ever had or have.
In case of this pic however, i had to correct the photographers distortion...
Wanted to try out some new stuff. This is a 9 image focus stacked photo of my lemon tree that i raised from a seed. Hy6-e75LVr with Zeiss 120mm Makro-Planar, light provided by Profoto Fresnel Spot.
