Great images, Michael! I enjoy this thread a lot, the Otus 55mm is probably my favorite lens just from watching all these images here... Keep it going!
This is a cross post from the Zeiss ZF/ZE/ZM Thread, except for the lens comparison pic.
Just pulled the trigger on the Otus 28mm. I really fought with me if I should buy this big, heavy beast of a lens, but in the end I just could't resist. The weather forecast wasn't good at all, but I just had to go to get some shots with the new lens. Hiked up to the "Drei-Zinnen-Hütte" while it was cloudy most of the time, even some rain, but sometimes the clouds opened up a little bit and the sun came through. Tried also get some portraits with the landscape in background at 1.4, but it just was to bright. Have to get a greyfilter pretty soon.
The lens comparison isn't meant to be a lens porn, instead it should visualize what kind of monstrous Lens it is. From left to right: Canon TS-E17, Milvus 21 and 15 followed by the Otus 28mm.
When I got the Milvus 15mm it was a monster lens in therms of size and weight, but now side by side with the Otus 28mm, it's the little one. By the way, I was totally aware of the size and weight, so this wasn't a surprise when I got it.
Hiking with the 28, wow! I have enough trouble taking my paltry 3 lenses with me, let alone hiking/climbing with a full gear complement. Congrats, Wayne! But let's post some material as well, with Otus 55...
Just a fun shot in a restaurant, hand-held, wide open, ISO 2000. Don't I wish the foreground "stuff" hadn't been there...
