Every R lens I habdle have slightly different feel but none of them as smooth as Zeiss OTUS, it is not really bother me per say, but I prefer a little more damp here.
These are all by D810 at ISO64 and WO at f1.4. I slightly prefer a few images took at f2.8 and f4 with the same frame. but here are just illustrate the lens. On my 5K monitor, it is a brand new experience for f1.4 lens performance to me, even view at 100%.

f1.4 single, How sharp is this? most lens I have don't have this sharpness at corner or cross frame at f2.8.
you will have to take my word here though for the size displayed. Both handhold with D810. I just use focus scale to do the focus here, easy and quick!

I just recently purchased the Otus 55 and both of my cameras, D810/D700, does not recognize the lens. Under Fine Tune, it sees it as my 35mm 1.4 zeiss which has significant fine tuning compensation. So when I want to use the 55, I have to switch the feature off or otherwise my focus peak is off. Anyone have this problem? Or is this user error? Haha.
