Spent a windy very chilly day at the local looking for the little birds. As usual they wanted to hang out in the canopy of leafy cover and once in a while give me a look. Enjoyable to watch Later in the day I gave a few shots to my slow to bloom Bleeding Heart plant and battled the wind and gave hand holding my best for a few

Very beautiful set for a day outing, Karl. I love the pleasing background color on your photos. Nice birds perching and the flower arrangement are soooo good. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy your set.

Love that opener Karl, the play of shadow and a laser beam of light really make this one a treat to view
Nice underwing look at this species in #2 and I wonder if it was leaving or just giving you a wave
The Prothonotary takes the cake (and the cake plate) for me in this dandy set my friend, Karl Witt photography on display here my friend
I always have to pause in my reply and go get my wife when you put up your wonderful florals buddy. She says she hopes hers will look this good this season #5 rawks Sir
Got to hear the sweet melody of the Song Sparrow myself this morning so I know you were diggin the tune when you saw this singer
Can't I.D. this little fluff ball but I sure do like it
Angle and comp for the Robin is very nice and the clean BG adds!
Nice DOF work for the closer Karl. I'm hoping to see some over here this season as they are such a beautiful Sparrow
Karl, these are sweet! I love #2 with the outstretched wing. The beautiful bg with the sparrow is wonderful. I agree with Tom, you can almost hear his song.

Oh how I enjoy this set Karl! Wonderful little variety and I love #1 with the light spottedly coming onto the bird, brilliantly displaying the feather detail.
And I have to get me-self one of those Bleeding Heart pot. I'm so drawn to #4.
Karl lovely set
I really like the amount of "environment" in the Prothonotary Warbler shot, it has a great feel to it.
I'm extremely jealous of those bleeding heart plants, I've gone to several nurseries
out here with no luck? Great BG's also my friend
All very nice, Karl, and it's also nice to hear that I'm not the only one frustrated by little birds who sit high up in leafy trees! I like the song sparrow best because he (or she) seems to be singing.
A darned fine set Karl!! Lots of appeal in #1. You controlled the exposure/processing well, resulting in a beautiful play of light and shadow. I really like #3. Pleasing tones in that creamy bg. The grey fuzzball and robin have a similar look. Very, very nice. Your bleeding hearts are lovely too, with good separation from the BG. I enjoyed these a lot.
Fine job on these, Karl. You were able to get some nice isolation and separation of the subjects notwithstanding the vegetation.
The smooth and clean bg, together with the good control of the light and the processing enhances the sharpness of the birds.
Very pleasing images with 3 and 7 being my favorites
