You have some great pics in this set Karl.
1 is an interesting shot and I like the way the light is lighting up just from the eye up but at the same time I would like to see a bit more light on the rest of the body. Bit of a conundrum as Ron might put it
Very nice light, poses and bgs in the rest of the perching bird shots with # 8 being having a super comp and pose.
Oh, and nearly forgot, my overall favourite are the Bleeding Hearts with the pair of Hearts with the hint of a treble in the next deal being tops for me. Love the colors and bg there.
Martin
A most enjoyable set of little and mid-size boids and a bleeding heart to make this liberal happy
You had me at the first with that strategically placed ray of light and it went on and on from there. I think spring is on the way....it was 91 in Minneapolis and 40's in NJ....what's up with that! Eventually it will make it to the east coast! I'm having to give the few hummers warmed sugar water to stop shivering
Eric
A variety of colorful songbirds with very nice composition. I can "feel" the warmth of springtime viewing this set.
For me, this has been the worst spring (so far) for observing all of these species outside the Robin and Song Sparrow. Maybe later this spring?? By this time Palm Warblers are either taking up summer residence here or moving through to the north, but not this year. Most likely it's weather-related, or else my observational skills are really slipping!
oooooooooh, you did get some isolation from all the branches and crap in these I'm loving that!! Let's spend some time nitting about
1.I like the spotlight so much that I don't see the blur in the front. Frankly for these buggers I expect there to be all sorts of stuff in the way so the blur is only a partial nit
2
3 This reminds me a Maggie shot, you know that is a huge compliment!
4 where's the bird
5 oh my is the first flower a bit loose and the second a bit conservative ? Actually I like both 4&5, very nicely done.
6 Very nice take on a common bird
7 No ID but it is a lovely shot
8 did somebody step on this guy, he looks squished Love the comp, love the shot
9 we don't have these common birds so it's special to me. Love the eye
Fabulous set Karl, I'm sitting here grinning You are firing on all cylinders buddy!

Love that opener Karl, the play of shadow and a laser beam of light really make this one a treat to view
Nice underwing look at this species in #2 and I wonder if it was leaving or just giving you a wave
The Prothonotary takes the cake (and the cake plate) for me in this dandy set my friend, Karl Witt photography on display here my friend
I always have to pause in my reply and go get my wife when you put up your wonderful florals buddy. She says she hopes hers will look this good this season #5 rawks Sir
Got to hear the sweet melody of the Song Sparrow myself this morning so I know you were diggin the tune when you saw this singer
Can't I.D. this little fluff ball but I sure do like it
Angle and comp for the Robin is very nice and the clean BG adds!
Nice DOF work for the closer Karl. I'm hoping to see some over here this season as they are such a beautiful Sparrow
Gosh Mr Sanders you have me blushing a bit here buddy
It has been a chase this Spring to get much in the way of open shots, the little birds have been slow or my time to pursue them has been limited by time or weather or both, not my desire mind you but the other things that get in the way.........you know what I mean Glad the Prothonotary got you in a good way, it kind of captures the feel of that mornings start, just a little slow and peaceful and not at all crowded with birds as I would have expected.
I am glad you and the Mrs are enjoying the brief floral display, I have not done many at all in a long time, might be the season to get back into it I wish your wife the best in show this year with her subjects in the garden!

Karl, these are sweet! I love #2 with the outstretched wing. The beautiful bg with the sparrow is wonderful. I agree with Tom, you can almost hear his song.
Nancy
A kind thanks Nancy, I appreciated your input and kindness
