Thanks rattymouse, this spot even gets more beautiful when the trees fully leaf out. I have to get used to sharpening for the 35...it seems my normal routine is too strong for this lens...
@Tim...this lens is very, very sharp!! Stopped down to f4 is probably its peak, but at that aperture, I would say it's as sharp as some of the best Leica lenses out there(wait for it??!!).

Would be interesting to see a head to head comparison between the Sigma 35 1.4 DG HSM vs the Leica R 35 1.4 summilux. My guess is that the Leica is now considered outdated, optically speaking and won't match the performance on many fronts against the Sigma. Who knows...the insane prices of the Leica Summilux might finally start going down! Oh the poor hedge fund collectors!!!
^^^^right!! I have a few shots taken at f2.5 of my youngest, and while normal portrait distance for a toddler, the lens is sooooo sharp, I can see the crinkles of skin on his nose, for example!! Kind of like looking through a magnifying glass!

One more from the Boardwalk...Similar to the shot a few pages back, but this one has more motion blur, but the stalk, if you will, is in sharp focus!

Lars...2 great shots, but the 2nd really stands out for me!!
John...been looking forward to these shots since you mentioned them!! Most excellent!!!

Superb shots Dale!! I think the combo worked out for you!!! Funny, one of my customers(I'm a full time UPS driver) has the 2 last cars in his garage!!! Only thing is its not an original AC, but a revamped version with updated specs that Carroll Shelby did in 2000-2001. Same aluminum body, same frame, interior, with fuel injection and bigger brakes! Probably more than that, too. He also has a Ferrari f430 sitting next to it!! And next to that is a Ford GT!!!
Crazy!!
Whoa...after careful inspection, the yellow car isn't a f430 I don't recognize the hood emblem!!??
