Bit more winter looking than spring, but here's a view from the 'backyard' this evening (Lover's Leap in NorCal). We just moved up here, so I imagine y'all will be seeing more of it. There's some great insects around here too.

Edd, I'm enjoying your trip to Europe; don't leave us hanging in the tulip fields ...
Corndog, it looks more like North Carolina than Northern California, but I can't tell for sure...nice photo regardless...
Here are a few from the neighborhood this week...

We are currently in Algonquin Park Ontario. We were treated to a full mating ritual between two common loons while kayaking. Bright sunshine made exposure tough for a black and white bird! Taken from the kayak:

Thanks, Jerry. Looks like you're doing great with the 500/4, me so jelly! And yep, definitely Northern California. It's funny you mention that because I felt the same way when looking at it on the computer.

Ah, Spring!
All taken with Samyang 85mm f/1.4, wide open, last three with Canon 12mm Extension Tube. First shot is a 6-shot panorama, using "follow focus" to keep sides as sharp as the center. All hand held.

Hi,
Jerry, Terry: Thanks for the comments/kind words; I absolutely love this area, hands down, as there are so many photo-ops in so many places. I am heading back to Stuttgart in the morning, to Mercedes-Benz and Porsche (photos only in the museums) facilities. I hope to see some of the cutting-edge technologies that they are using in manufacturing with regards to robotics and sensors.
A few from a day trip to Baden-Baden, in the northern part of the Black Forest. I did a ~14 Km hike, perfect conditions, and trails were well-marked. Took the 17-40L, 24-105L, and 70-200L MkII, shooting with the 5D MkII.

Nice, Edd. Was going to suggest Porsche and MB, but like BMW, I was aware of the photo limitation. Didn't think of the museums. As I recall, Porsche has some stylish architecture you can shoot from different angles, playing with light and reflections.
