Have been a slow year for me in terms of photography. Did manage to get out there few times. Was waiting for the WTK when I saw this guy playing with his catch before he swallowed it....
Here's my offering:
Kenya- in the Serengeti Plain.
The afternoon was hot, and this small herd of impala was cooling off in the shade of some trees.
The dappled light happened to catch the dominant male at just the right time.
Not sure if this would be my personal favorite, but it’s one a lot of other people really seemed to like. A Wandering Garter Snake from the Zuni Mountains, New Mexico.

Whoa. Awesome angle and composition. How was this shot? Were you in the water or simply low to the ground?
