Thanks for that. I'm also glad to learn what the record is at Road America. I drive on that in Assetto Corsa, and the best I've recorded so far is 1:42.7 in an Audi R8 LMP. I'll have to try in one of the F1 cars.

The Indycars testing last month were a few seconds off from that, but it was a test, so there's now a chance the record will be broken. CART had more power, but the new cars probably are more efficient aerodynamically.
They also made the track a little wider, so who knows if you can compare these lap times. Pavement grip has changed as well.
