Here's a couple from Historic Sportscar Racing @ Sebring this past weekend...a nice little warm up before next month kicks off racing season with the Rolex!
Just thought I would throw these out there and maybe you guys would enjoy them. I quit car photography a while back because I grew tired of it simply because it was what I started my photography in and wanted to branch out and not feel so creatively confined. I still love these photos and hopefully you guys do also.
Here's a B&W drift shot from Winter Jam at Sonoma Raceway last month (year). My first time attempting to shoot drifting - actually first time I've seen drifting in person.
Here are a quick few from this past weekend's Roar before the 24 at Daytona. The GTI is a badass little race car, I'm loving the addition of this new class to the Continental Tire series.

Posted these over on the Df thread, thought I would throw them here as well, now thyat this thread has been neutered.
These are from the Mpls Auto Show, shot with a Df and a 24mm Sigma Art. I am gonna play with different frames here, since I am new to posting this way. Pre-Apologies....
I really want to hit the Redman challenge this year, it has been a while. It also happens to be on the same weekend as a Triumph show in Lacrosse, the Street Machine Nats in St Paul, and the Meltdown Drags in Byron.
I only got a single day in last year at the Redman Challenge but it was good stuff. The other vintage events are really small compared to that one. Pretty sure I'll be in the High Sierra in mid July, so again only spring and/or fall vintage this year for me. I'll go if I like the weather.
Rest of the year I'll be missing out on most of the good stuff as well. Right now, I think Indycars at Road America is the only certain weekend in my calendar.
maybe I'll head to Detroit in June again - here one from last year
Anybody here have any experience with or going to be trying out the A7 III or A7R III for racing? A7III + their 100-400 seems like it should be a solid performer, with better AF, more isolation/shallower-DoF for head-on shots, better battery life (vs. the Fuji gear I just sold). Sadly, likely worse ergos than the Fuji gear was, but.. Now that Sigma and Tamron are producing for E-mount, an affordable 70-200mm f2.8 to pair with it is probably soon to be coming. Maybe Sigma will even port over their 120-300mm f2.8 Sport at some point - that + a TC and I'd be pretty happy, I think.
Hesitant to buy a DSLR at this point, because apart from motorsports, most of the photos I take are hiking/traveling/landscape, so the extra size and weight would be tougher to deal with, and I don't have the funds to support two systems. Also bad experiences with lens/body combinations that were unable to be properly adjusted for front/back focus that you just don't have to deal with anymore with mirrorless. Would like to see what CaNikon is planning to bring to the mirrorless table, but I'm probably not patient enough.
Couple of pics to keep this on topic:
D500 + 300mm f2.8 at the Radical North America race at Laguna Seca last year.
D500 + 300mm f2.8 at the same event - the blue obscuring the upper right of the frame is a flag.
D500 + 24mm f1.8 in the same place, same day - track day shared the track that day between the Radical heats.
D500 + 70-200mm f2.8 at an autocross at Crows Landing.
Blast from the past, my old MINI from the last time I had a Sony camera.
