I gave up using my 70-200 and 300PF for retriever photos and tried the chubby with the 1.4xtciii on the D500. Typical overcast duck weather so it was cloudy but was able to get some shutter speed out of it. Combo is heavy and cumbersome to carry around but I think its worth it.

From what I can see, it is absolutely worth it! Great shot!
