Ive seen it and I own the 1.7tc. I have also sold a few pics in my time. just saying it doesnt meet my definition of a what I would want to spend my money on. You take the sharpest lens nikon makes and make it look like an avg lens with that 1.7tc...

Wow 4mpx!! I can see I will be able to put my tcs to good use!! What is really nice too with chubby is that since it lets so much light to start with, you don't suffer as much from the stop you lose when using tc.
Oh heck yeah. Personally, if I had the money for a VRII I might still buy the VRI used and put the savings somewhere else. The only BIG difference between them is the price.

I had the 70-200 2.8 vr II but sold it since i got the 200 f2!! It makes the pictures so much better at f2 and it blown the 70-200 2.8 for sharpness too
