The action at my son's Little League (Fall ball) game today wasn't enough to hold this little guy's attention -- or mine. So, this future slugger became part of my DOF experiment at f2. Right of home plate. Third inning.

Watching my team winning from the stadium and the first outing with chubby, hopefully next week I'll use her for action
Wow, you've already been putting your new 200 to good use! That shot turned out very nicely, considering all involved. The 70-200 wouldn't have had quite as nice bokeh nor subject isolation. I'm quite jealous because all I've been able to shoot with my 200 are the dogs and some other test snaps.
Regardless, looking forward to seeing more shots.
Of course, everyone is posting some fabulous shots. Great thread!

Thank you trench for posting picture to show me you use your 1.7 tc!! :P
I know you tested the 7100 but you sold it back and you kept the d7000. Didn't you like more the 24mp vs 16mp and better af of the d7100??
You bet! The Toshiba sensor didn't cut it for me. I found it harsh/cold/sterile compared to the D7K's Sony.
I tweaked for 3000+ shots and turned it on the B&S. If I want/need MP's the D800 rules that roost.
FWIW I enjoy an obscene keeper rate with the MultiCAM4800's AF. Having sold, well (traded for beer)
over 60 'monkey action sets for the D7K, one might say I've got it dialed in. It's probably the best $600
you can spend for a DX body. Made a nice living with them over the last 2 years and >200K shots.
^ Sell a few prints with 'em, and you might change your tune.
Naked's always better BUT we do what we gotta in this biz to get the shot.
Funny, you can make that determination seeing 1/50th of the file...on the web
You must have missed this, no fine tune and a 100% crop
The Chub plays VERY well with the TC-17E II
