These pictures would've been perfect if you shot at the waist up distance. At this distance the depth of field is so small that one of the eyes is out of focus.

You all make me want to cry!
I had a chubby-then 3 herniated discs, a severely broken and crippled left wrist, and cancer made me abandon it.
The 3 prior mentioned problems also prevent me from re-buying it!
Thanks for the memories----.
Recover sooner and join us, I do hope so.
hahaha!! Thanks!! I love the af and all the small little upgrades!!
Silent shooting, focus peaking, smaller af point in live ivew, focus shift!! The D850 is a really well rounded camera, that's for sure!!
I am now waiting for the meike battery grip! The nikon grip is a ripp off imo.

Looks like a bad scratch on the left side! How'd that happen?!!!!
I'll splurge for the Nikon grip but the battery and charger will be knock offs... that's just me though! Happy shooting!

In québec with taxes it would cost me over 600$$$ vs 100$ for the meike. I use the meike which has an integrated rf receiver and remote. The dste el en18 battery worked in the meike grip in my D500. They don't loose there charge and last a long time! The meike grip will cost me around 120$
Yikes! I'd do the same! Ps what version of the 200mm 2.0 are you shooting? I'm taking mine out this weekend for the first time in a long time and I'm stoked!

I am using the old vr version not the VR2!! They are optically identic but the vr doesnt have the nano coating and has one less stop for VR! I love mine but not the best against bright lighting! It is my favorite lense by far! So sharp and bokehlicious!!!
I have the VRII, the VR is much better and backlight handling is improved but otherwise 99% the same! Glad you're enjoying yours!
