Didn't know that I need this lens until I read this thread..
I have the impression that this lens has a not measurable quality to its transition zone and bokeh rendering. It is so smooth but sharp at the same time that the output is almost always jaw-dropping.. The good photographers here underline its quality obviously but it also has to do with the lens.
Now I have got two big tasks:
- I need to find a good explanation for a crowdfunding
- I need to buy a mule to carry that lens everywhere for me.. My cat is already tired after carrying the 2.8/24-70 for me
I have a simple plan.. Get a AF-D 2.8/180 and save until I can affort the 2/200. I will have quite some time to watch this thread jealously until I can contribute
