You guys are getting some great images out of this thing, but no excuses I guess ;-)
@sebboh: How are you finding the RX1? Any user tips?
i love the lens and most things about the camera. i think this will definitely be my main camera for a long time unless they some how manage to release the lens by itself for an ILC. not sure i'm the best person to ask for user tips since you want to use it like a rangefinder. i use mine almost entirely in manual focus with the focus assist zoom turned off (i basically only use AF for the times when i can't see the lcd). for moving subjects i focus by watching for moire in the area of interest or zone focusing if i'm ok with large dof. i currently have the c button set to AF/MF control hold, AEL button set to AEL toggle, left button set to focus magnifier, right button set to drive mode, and down button set to iso. i don't use a lens cap or a real hood (i got a sony knockoff one that came with the camera and fits great, but it's too big for me). i've been keeping a filter and 49-37 step-down ring on the lens and just stuff in my pocket/bag like that. no grip, case, or soft release yet. the gripless camera sees very comfortable to hold while shooting though a grip would make it more comfortable to hold when not shooting.

Oh the irony of using the RX1 to take a quick snapshot (RX1 doesn't magically turn every press of the shutter into great art contrary to how it might seem from this thread lol) of the very thing that has resulted in the camera being put up for sale. Kind of like asking a cow to go light your bbq grill....

Jochen, that landscape photo above is beautiful! Really like the minimalism, well balanced composition and the colors.
sebboh, wow to your graffiti set, and also to Bob's night time bridges set. Makes me look forward to fall and dark nights again... It won't be long now, already the sun sets at around 9 PM (21.00).
A bunch of shots (varying quality) from my "People in urban environment" project for the Norwegian forum.

So you have replaced your RX1 with ... a fuji?

Well, Fuji as in the 100 some year old bicycle brand, not "Fujifilm", the camera/film company but certainly some additional irony there as well.
One really can't replace the other per say but as far as the credit card statement is concerned its all simply expensive hobby purchases with 8.5% interest

Great shots sebboh & Helen. sebboh, that shot of the biker is pretty unreal. totally something i could see used for a commercial application and i definitely mean that as a compliment. Here's a few from an event I helped cover with my RX1, pretty happy with the results. This was one of my first gigs with only the RX1 by my side. I think the camera worked great for this sort of environment for a lot of reasons. Firstly, the size of the camera made it really easy to not seem too in the way and I eve had to clarify to a lot of the volunteers that the photos were for the company. The camera was more than fast enough in every lighting condition and considering I shot in bright, blistering heat for half of the event and then in a dark tent for the other half. I'm honestly floored but how much detail you can resolve from the shadows & highlights. I've yet to ow a camera that had this level of editing flexibility. Anyway let me know what you guys think and keep up the good work!
Unfortunately though I'm having issues with the rear LCD. Darn thing shut off when I went to us the camera after it'd been sitting around for a couple of days and hasn't turned back on since. I've been pretty much relying on the EVF which is fine for shooting but a pain for reviewing the images. Has anyone else run into this issues with their RX1?
