p.311 #1 · Sony RX1, RX1R, RX1R II and RX1R III Image Thread
I have been thinking about upgrading from my SONY RX100m2 to a hopefully new RX1R lll.
Most if not all of the pictures posted here appear to not have gone under Photoshopping.
Am I wrong or am I right?
I've been using the RX100's zoom set to 35mm Full Frame equivalent to see if that would suit me.
If the picture quality is that much better it should be fine.
All depends upon how much better the pictures are.
Thanks
I forgot to add that it appears that the RX1 has very good dynamic range capabilities.
Could that be the secret to it's photographic capabilities?

Hi guys,
excellent photography in this thread, i have the r2 version and really like the camera but somehow i feel like my pictures lack sharpness and 3d look, i shoot raw and proceed with Sony's software.

Try capture one Express, available for free for Sony. You may need to play with the sharpness controls there (reduce threshold to 0 and take away noise reduction as you see fit) but that may be a way of you seeing how good the R2 is with your files.
on the 3D thing.... try to use f2-f4 for maximum effect. Framing is key.
Enjoy your RX1!!

thanks a lot for the answer
as far as i see express doesn't allow to play with adjustments but gives preset adjustments, is it true or am i missing something?
