Well, it looks like I'll be back in this thread. Not only to post photos from my large backlog of unedited photos from my ex-RX1... , but I decided to buy the RX1RII today.
I haven't properly tested it yet, but I can already see that it's everything that I wanted my original RX1 to be. The main reason for selling that camera was the very mediocre AF. It's in a completely different league on the RII. SO much faster and much less hunting in lower light. The tiltscreen, the ability to set a minimum shutter speed for auto ISO, a built-in EVF, ability to use a small AF point,... are all things that I missed in the original. I had the separate EVF for the RX1. When mounted it was a bit difficult to put the camera in a bag.
My A7RII is a great camera too, but I almost forgot how small these RX cameras really are. I plan to sell my FE 35/1.4 now. I like that lens very much, but it's bigger and heavier than the RX1RII alone.
