Joe. Those are good shots and many people use cameras for shots of family etc. I need to look at the exif but were those shot with af or mf and like f8
The exif info is shown along the white border text. All three pics with different f stops and using AF.

Helena, wonderful shots!!! Love the shot of the snow covered branch with the sun breaking through
h00ligan, very nice moment captured!
Seth, thank you for your kind comments The RX1 would be great on the Camino trail. Light and FF!!
Joe, I am really enjoying your family captures! This is the beauty of the RX1, that it lends itself so easily to impromptu shots
jgreene, very nice B&W shot.
Martin, excellent set of abstract shots! Love the design and composition to this set
Lucille, very cool series of shots! Very nice lighting and effect.
SimonB, nice series!

There's a concern on the main RX1 thread about it not being much of a social camera. Maybe it's true, I use it as a family camera with my young kids, so I don't have much time for social events. Well, I did get together with my best friend Henry, showed him the camera, and he shot one frame with it. So here it is, yours truly

Agree about Jorge's "man and dog", like it a lot.
joanlvh - nice buttery macro of the candle, I should give it a try!
I also think there's quite a nice 3D on the blue Camaro SS from littlemt - more than the new red one, I think.
BTW, I've enjoyed Helena's and Makten frozen landscapes from a few pages ago, it's a very different world from what I get to see here around Los Angeles.

Nice shots people.
I really hope my next copy will be a good one, because the files from this camera are the best I've seen yet in my Lightroom library. The lens renders very nice IMHO and the sensor trumps the one in my 5DII.

Unfortunaly no crop modes. Well, there is 16:9, but not sure if it crops or is just a preview for video mode. It would be cool for the smart teleconverter crop mode work with Raws, does not seem hard to implement.

Nice mysterious atmosphere in that one Jochen! I really like that he's crossing the road and not walking along it. Makes you wonder where he came from and where he is going.

A few recent shots. I feel fortunate to have such nice views within walking distance from home.

Jorge, nice street shots.
joanlvh, nice macro shot and nice reflections on the building.
joachen, I almost missed the man in that shot. Great timing, excellent!
Martin, another excellent set.
littlemt, excellent car shots! Keep them coming! The last set with the yellow truck is really cool.
Helena, beautiful! #1 is my favorite. Reminds me of Bruegel's winter landscapes. Is the 2nd shot with the person walking and Joachen's earlier post a coincidence

Does the RX1 have any crop modes, like 4:3, 5:4, etc.?
Closest you can get to another format other than 3:2 or 16:9 is 6:6. Turn on the square grid lines and although it does not crop to a square format, it will give you a 6x4 grid with 4x4 in the center to aid framing.
