Thank you for the kind welcome Gregg (with two "g's ) and Zhangyue. Spectacular images the folks here have posted - wow! I haven't been able to get out with the new Rx1rII (my extremely ill wife requires 24/7 care and her nurse is has been in the hospital all week, leaving me utterly trapped) other than a few short dog runs on my place. Here are a couple shots from this morning right after a rain storm ended - taken just to play with the new toy.
Chase looking out over one of my little mountain meadows:
Young Ms. Joy in the same meadow:
These aren't great photos, but they do show the sparking dynamic range of this little gem is amazing - and I can stick it in my pocket!!!
Apparently, the reason my images appear so small is that I use Photobucket for hosting and it will only allow a maximum of 1024px on the long side. Perhaps I need to switch to Flicker?

This thread always inspires.
Here are a few more eclectic shots from Hawaii.
The big surf at Waimea heavily processed as I shot through rain and mist.
The jumping off cliff shot is significantly cropped.
Gorgeous ukulele player, Taimane, wide open 1/60sec iso12,800.
Macro mode on the orchid at f4.
My high speed sync shoot postponed til tomorrow.
Will post results.
Aloha.

Zipe...the color version gives life to the photo(as this is how we all see), but the BW is striking, with emotion. My eye draws to the green wall behind the man in color, whereas in BW, it goes straight to the man himself. Just my 2 cents
Gregg
Here are a few using in camera BW .jpgs with very little PP.
