I forgot to ask about the fle adjustment. Where did you end up leaving it? I'd be interested in seeing any sample shots you took while testing it. Or did you just use liveview? I'm guessing from your post though it is a waste of time. It would be nice to minimise field curvature at least though, or is that not really possible either?

i tried optimizing it for good bokeh at standard portrait distance (the most recent posts in the zeiss 35/1.4 thread), but it exaggerated the midzone dip and gave weird field curvature at certain distances. i will try optimizing it for midzone sharpness at 2m next to see what that does.

A couple first images. Just getting my feet wet but so far I like this camera slightly better than the A7. Slight misfocus on the eye on the first image, which was cropped quite a bit. Second image was at 400 ISO which I generally don't like shooting over, also cropped a lot.

Yeah, but I suck. And a better file allows more potential for creative manipulation. If you're dealing with granules the size of sugar cubes you have less scope to finesse your image. Of course if your composition is impeccable none of this matters, but who among us has that potential.

I asked this in here before but I cant find it and I think there was no clear answer. Is it possible to transfer images from the camera without removing the SD card?

Maybe Im missing something but I cant get LR or windows to recognize the camera. It charges when I plug it in but I cant find where the files are stored.

Ah, the camera has to be on AND out of "sleep" mode. It started charging but I had to press the shutter button to get it to be recognized by the computer.

wide enough shot to include the thousand year old columns next to the new supports. This sour guy made sure I didn't get 2-3 images I really wanted in this dukhang. Next time maybe.

i have been struggling with this myself. i like the contax because i can focus it faster for portraits and it has a bit more pop, but the rx1 has way smoother bokeh at mid distance (particularly in the corners) and is much better for landscape.
I feel like it's time for me to sell some of my lenses, I have way too many...
The problem is there is no place to sell them, ebay is dead to me after the latest paypal rules change
(got burned before + now every buyer has 6 months to send it back for no reason), here it seems like
nothing is moving...
