Something a bit different from the "normal" RX1 images. Its funny because I was "nervous" to take the shutter over 1/200th for fear of catching a curtain shadow!

Because to most 'regular' or 'amateur' photos, a camera with a fixed lens, slow AF that costs sooo much money is unacceptable
I seriously think this can NOT be improved. I'm not interested in getting any replacement,
there is NOTHING I need which would improve it to me. It is simply perfect.

Very nice and perfect sharpness. I struggle a bit with sharpening
in the newest Photoshop, seems like they changed something in the resizing algorithms.
There are several bicubic options and they are not great

I wonder if you still shoot with Contax 35mm lens? Pics like this one have all same qualities
plus MUCH more
Funny you should say that, I've just gone away to Scotland for the week and have taken almost every camera and lens apart from the RX1, but not because I really wanted to, just so I could remind myself why I own them all! I might end up with some on eBay by the time I go back home! I'm going to try and love the Contax again but after comparing past photos, the Contax mid distance bokeh looks really ugly compared to the Sonnar. I'll spend this week trying to convince myself otherwise...

i have been struggling with this myself. i like the contax because i can focus it faster for portraits and it has a bit more pop, but the rx1 has way smoother bokeh at mid distance (particularly in the corners) and is much better for landscape. i've been fooling around with different settings for the FLE on the c/y 35/1.4 but adjusting it for better bokeh at one focus distance seems to ruin it for others as well as causing weird field curvature effects at different distances.
in any event, no matter how i adjust the FLE on the contax i can never get it to have bokeh this nice and cross the frame sharpness this consistant at f/2 and this focus distance:
