DrSeth....this image is fantastic.
The dynamic range is like butter and the detail is intense. I've noticed in pics like yours, where the RX1 shines, is that looking a smaller image seems like you are looking at a huge print, if that makes any sense.

Is this the RX1R?
Thanks! RX1, I think it is sharp enough You can shoot this thing at f2 for decent extreme corner if have to. I think it has better performance than any 35mm lens I am aware.
Derek, Did that raptor get shot before you getting close to it?

WOW!
When's the RX2 out, heard it may have some special curved sensor and be 35/1.8?
Honestly, this may be a better option than a pricey 35 on my A7r.
If 1.8 happens they definitely have to increase the shutter speed. I max out quite often @ f/2 as it is. I'm perfectly happy with the current lens and sensor combo. My RX2 wants are faster shutter speed or built in ND (not sure if they'd have room for that though), better AF performance/functionality and weather sealed.

Jochen, "Facing the Storm" is a magnificent photograph. The layers, the depth, the detail, the tonality. Draws me in, and I can't stop looking... Great work!
