sebboh, I like "industrial" subjects like those. Good compositions and mood.

Number 2 and 4 are fantastic Helena. I would've liked the last one better if the lady had her eyes open.
Thank you! I agree completely about the eyes, but I get stressed when I take photos of strangers, so I almost always mess up in one way or the other. They were so cute and friendly, and I like the photo anyway, but the next time I will focus first, then switch to MF (I have a designated button for switching between AF and MF), then take two or three shots in a row. Then at least one should be OK. Since RX1 is completely quiet people won't know that I do that.

Yes the leaf shutter is fantastic for candid shots. An easier alternative than switching to MF is to shoot a small burst. That way you always have one shot with the eyes open.
BTW, that fourth shot might be one of the nicest B&W photos I've seen from you.

Thank you, great tip! I think I'll practice with people I know first...
Glad you like the abandoned boat shot. I always admire your B&Ws so that great to hear. I usually start with my favorite B&W preset, then make a few adjustments. The same for all (except the one with the sheep), but I guess it just suited the boat scene best.
Btw. we stopped the car just to look at the fjord and the mountains - the boat was completely hidden from the road. Fortunately I decided to walk down to the beach and I won't deny that my heart started to beat a little faster when I saw the old fishing boat spotlighted by the low sun... You can't see it here, but parts of the boat had thick green moss growing on it. Very picturesque.

A little grainier than necessary but wows for that mug&smoke shot ebookman. Just love the banana comp and smoke!
Good comment. Shot taken in pre-sunrise light from window. You are right about grain of course but I don't have a lot of experience with noise correction. The shot was taken at F/6.3 for the desired DOF and 1/80 which is about as slow as I want to go hand held. This pushed the the ISO to 6400. I did some noise correction on both color and luminance but I don't really have any developed "technique" or expertise for this. Comments welcome.

Helena, great finds! I cannot wait for the price to drop a little more on the used RX1s or for a newer one to come out, looks like a perfect camera to keep on you everywhere

Thank you! It is surprisingly versatile and the files are stunning. I just wish it were a bit more responsive and that the daylight AWB were more to my liking, but I don't think I can sell it. I have had it for 13 months now btw..

Yeah, I can't see Sony really having to release an update for it as there is nothing like it on the market. Price doesn't seem to have budged at all though. Might have to get one from the US or something...

that's unfortunate, on the used market in the US you can get them for nearly half list price with a little waiting, especially now that the a7(r) is out.
here's a few more available darkness shots from my walk home:
