Before the weekend a photo friend and I went back to the lake with the ice cracks, where I had an accident and ruined Fuji X-E1, its 14mm lens and my relatively new Samsung smart phone... Didn't hurt myself though, so things could be worse. Anyway, until Ricoh GR comes back from repair (it just stopped working, not my fault ) RX1 is my only camera.
On top of this the sun came out making it difficult to avoid reflections, which much limited the composition and subject choices, but here are a few shots:
that's terrible! hope it wasn't you falling on the camera, but glad you weren't hurt.
lovely ice shots again!

Thank you Rich!
sebboh, thanks! Great atmosphere in those. I'm envious of your snow.

Unfortunately, that is what I did. I hit my head on something inside an old boathouse, slipped on the ice and fell backwards with the camera bag under me.
RX1 was around the neck at the time and was completely unharmed. Since it currently is my only camera and I often like to shoot a little wider I have used the Ricoh wide angle converter for a few shots, but I'm not too impressed and will use stitching instead whenever possible.

Some more from last summer. These are from north-eastern Norway, by the border to Russia. In some places only a small and shallow stream separates the two countries, but if you walk down to it armed border guards show up almost immediately. They were all smiles though and happily obliged when I asked for a photo in front of the Russian border markings. You may recognize some of the subjects, because I posted photos from this trip in the Fuji thread about half a year ago and maybe also a couple of them in color in this thread.

Some random shots during the annual desert RV meeting in Quartzite, Arizona where nearly a quarter of a million people from around the world converge on otherwise barren desert.
