WOW, such an amazing sequence!!! The closest I ever get to these great cats is at the Wild Animal Park. You bring the real hunt to life here. Thank you!
Nancy
Very kind of you Nancy. It is thrilling each and every time I see one of these big cats!

Both the stills and the video blew me away. I'd guess the leopard weighed between 60-70 pounds and the impala 100 to 110 - a tough little kitty.
The strength these little leopards have is quite astounding....it may not even have weighed as little as 50lbs but that is why she couldn't hoist it up into a tree until she removed a substantial part of its bulk...
Your comments are very much appreciated.

I sure appreciate these images. After having been to Serengeti twice and trying just to get a good look of this secretive animal, I can see how skilful and lucky you are in capturing this cat in action. Thanks for posting.

Bob, those are very kind words. I think it really helps to have a good guide and give him guidance. I am not bashful about telling him what I would like to see with the understanding that I no there are no guarantees. It may mean you do a lot of driving and see less other things but when you do find what you are looking for it is so sweet!

It's so nice to see your name pop up once in a while Danno! Thanks so much and glad you enjoyed them...hope life is treating you well!

Whoa - amazing set Eric! Great story and captures / vids. Captivating!
If there's any photography justice in the world, #6, 11, and 14 should win some awards and make you some money!

Jim, I don't know what to say...such nice words and I wish I knew a venue to show these to more than my FM buddies.
I am sure I could sell one or two and by myself a nice 1gb cf card . However, I am open to offers if you want to trade images for long glass

It is different when you are in the midst and watching something die. Trying to control emotions and get the shots but at the same time viewing with one's eyes is tricky. I do find myself holding my breath for long stretches and cursing the one eye contact shot I miss...but after the fact, it's all good! Thanks so much for the nice words.
Eric
Hey Lucky...I got your namesake with this sighting! I have waited for hours for action like this but many many more times than not am disappointed...but every now and then magic happens.

Great event to witness. I've put in lots of leopard time and never seen a successful hunt. Love that #11 and 14.
Love the video.
Don
I feel privileged to have had a front row seat and in the daytime to boot. Oddly, I've seen as many successful leopard kills (3) as anything else.
It's just being lucky!

Jude
Thanks Jude...I had always heard that Yala was a great place to see leopards because they would be out daytime as there are no other big predators....would love to visit sometime.
