I know it isn't as awesome as everyone else here, but here is my first decent picture with my new to me D600. I slapped a Nikon 70-300mm VR. This is at 300mm!
what lens is this with? i'm trying to determine if the kit lens will hold me over for a while... we've got a baby on the way so i wont be able to purchase any new glass for a while... thanks in advance for any input!
dp you guys think the kit lens and maybe a 50mm 1.8G will hold me over for a while? hows the image quality on the 24-85 VR? want to make the switch to FF but with a baby on the way i wont be able to buy any new glass for a while... i'm mostly into portraits and cityscapes/landscapes...
The 24-85 has fine looking images coming from it. It's a good zoom range for those film shots on sticks where you don't have room to dolly and need to zoom a bit during a long interview to change the feel of a shot.

thanks... im still on the fence about going with the D600 kit or buying nice glass for the D7000 (like the coveted nikkor 17-55 f/2.8).... decisions, decisions....
