He says test shots, the default sharpness in this camera is very low, at least this is what i experienced, maybe this is the reason why you feel like the as if they're mannequin

Speaking of low light, the first one is at 6400. The second one at 3200. I'm delighted with the low light performance.

Re: sharpening, I'm actually finding that my images are being over sharpened when using my normal workflow (mainly imagemagick). Also, out of the camera, I find that RAW's look very sharp coming from a NEX7 camera. I'm going to try pp sharpening in photoshop next since it can be controlled abit better.

composition is a little off but I'll blame the benches being arranged asymmetrically and the fact that I was in a rush

no, they're normal pics but original files are sharper, i don't know what happened during resizing

Nice image, now try it at about a minute exposure. You'll have to get a ND filter though.

Thanks Leighton. That suggestion would make a better image giving the water a misty look. Unfortunately I don't have any filters for the 14-24 lens. I did try various f-stops but I preferred this one.
