One thing I really like about the d600 is the quiet shutter. Makes a very nice little snip.

Received my D600 Friday. I put it through a short test yesterday during the Belhaven U vs Bluefield game. The field that I was shooting on is one of the first generation EnviroTurf fields and this particular field gets VERY hot. It was 85 degrees here yesterday and the Heat Devils were dancing. Overall the D600 handled the situation fairly well. The farther away I was from the action the more it struggled. But then again, my D4 was struggling with the Devils as well. I was pleased overall with the D600 during it's first outing.
