I just recently purchased the Nikon D600, moving from Canon. This shot was taken using the D600 with the 70-200 f2.8 VR, converted to monochrome in Lr 5 and then applying the IR filter from Lr presets adding a touch of contrast and bringing up the blacks a fudge.
I just joined the party, so I'm a bit late, however, I was looking several pages back and someone mentioned the low light ability of the D 600, I shot this photo at the max ISO of 25,600. Yes it has some noise but it is usable.
