I'd be surprised if there is a tiltable screen. Look how close the sensor plane indicator is to the back of the camera, and compare that with the Nex-7. It looks like there's hardly room for a screen at all, much less a tiltable one.

Rock Huffwell:
"My sony sources say:
The FF nex is going to be more complex with a hybrid mount: it's not ready.
The RX-1 is smaller anyway and really does have it's own niche."

This camera without an included in body EVF is a no-go for many.
First because of size compromise purposes and then price.
The Nikon D600 with a 35 f1.8 is much cheaper and almost equal size if you have to use an external EVF...not to mention much much better performance and controls (yes i know the D600 is not out yet, but its almost certain)

The rumored D600 isn't even in the same universe of size as the RX1, even with the EVF. Plus, you can just keep the EVF in your pocket and use it when necessary. I rather enjoyed using the EVF on my NEX-5N.
Here is a size comparison of the RX100, NEX-5R and Rebel. The RX1 has a little longer lens than the RX100, but the body size is similar:

I think the body of the RX100 is actually slightly larger than the RX1, but the lens of the RX1 tilts the size advantage back to the RX100.
Hmm I don't see how you could fit a hotshoe mount on top of the RX100 but maybe I'm mis-remembering. I left my RX100 in a cab.

You can see the tabs that are also on the screen of the 5N though. Maybe the RX1 pictures are faked then?
@FPF: Sorry to hear that...

Would be an odd omission if this premium camera doesn't have a flip screen but the size is so remarkably small that maybe this was one of the compromises. Definitely needs to be a touchscreen though, this should be standard for Live View shooting and magnifying.

Man, that sucks! I guess it was too small for you to notice it was left there (and/ or you were having too much fun!)! Strike one for tiny cameras that are not as small as the cell phone most of us actually keep in our pocket. That's also one reason I think I would keep a tiny pouch over the shoulder for any camera.

perhaps they should make an inflatable DSLR
i'm happy with the size. it has all the controls i need too. people who think this too small to handle need to remember you can't hang any oversized lenses off this.

Don't worry guys insurance covered the camera but I did still lose about $100 in the small pouch, eyefi card, spare memory card, and like the screen protector. Yeah, I don't want an Expensive camera that small again, I'm dropping the idea of a take anywhere camera at least in NYC.
On the bright side, hey at least some photokina money. I'll probably be picking up the next Oly EPL as a backup travel body.
