Yeah. I'm still considering trying OMD for the glass selection. I absolutely could use the weather/dust sealing, too. Seems like OMD alongside of RX100 would be nicely complimentary.

I have a D700/D7100/D5100 and a slew of lenses, but rarely use them for any personal stuff.

EDIT: since this is the image thread...
David, I've been watching your pics on various threads while I plot out my kit re-org... Looked a lot at Fuji X-E1, too. Seems it would also be a great companion to RX100, and the AF lens choices look pretty solid with the Fuji.
I tried the Fuji (first the x10 to get a feel for the layout) system for a short spell, and had it along side the Oly. However, its so slow to manage their system compared to the OM-D, that I sent it back.
X-E1 and 18-55.
Love that lens, faster and better than the Oly, but limited by the camera and its functionality IMO. Of course, that is just me and I know many great shooters love the Fuji system.
Give it a spin, but if you have used the OLY OM-D, you will find it a bit on the sluggish side I dare say.
Question:
I've had this camera less than a week but have only had 1 day to play with it. I can get the photos from the camera to my windows laptop but having troubles getting them onto my mac desktop.
Anyone else using a mac that can tell me what I'm missing here??
thanks.
@David - I'll see if the speed of the X-E1 bugs me... I'm used to MF with my NEX, so it is hopefully not as slow as that. Have not used an OMD, so I guess I don't know what I'm missing... Fortunately I don't shoot much with my compact system that moves.
Ok, so another pic to make this post legit.
Horses and shadows in the high country. I'm not much of an UWA shooter, but the clouds in this shot were begging for some screen time and I loved the shadows dancing on the mesa behind them.
ps. I'm fightin' with someone in another forum who insists RX100 raw files are HDRs, that's the only reason the pictures look so snappy.

I use mac's exclusively. What are you trying to open? RAW or jpg.?
They really only open with software designed for those files.
So you can use the sony supplied software (awful IMO), or you can get a copy of:
LR4, Adobe DNG converter will swap your Raw sony files in to DNG format (Preview can open those), Aperture (solid for the $, and the best buy if you are not already and Adobe user), GIMP, RPP, DXO, Phase One - Capture One, and a few others.
Hope that helps.
Can you see the camo birds? (this represents about 25% of the shot, heavy cropping.)

Its weird, but it took me longer to find the bright colored male in the front than the two others (can't tell if they are females or juveniles?).
