Well, my crystal ball says it'll have an EVF mounted on the hotshoe and a pretty good sensor. Let's see whose crystal ball is more accurate.

If you're using the right prime the brightline optical finder for the GR, Oly, Zeiss, etc., could be used. Lots of people use these finders interchangeably since they clip into the flash shoe.

I want XP1 size, a lot of physical buttons, great built-in EVF, revolving screen, fast and stabilized zoom as a kit lens and superb AF (I want it in video mode as well). In short, I want it to feel good to shoot with. Feeling good just looking at the pictures i.e. superb IQ is not enough for me.

So far the camera closest to these requirements seems to be GH2 (or OMD + grip) + 12-35/2.8.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

That's true, but the view wouldn't be "through the lens", which is fine for mid to long range shooting but could introduce parallax error at shorter range.

I don't expect a plug in EVF to be great but hopefully the technology has improved to a point where it'll be good enough for most of us.

What gives me hope is the fact that Audi's Le Mans racers will feature a stabilised digital rear view mirror with 0.1mm pixel pitch that is supposed to be good enough to give the driver a clear video at 300kph.

I bet the sensor is the one in the T4i/650D, it is pretty good just not astonishing ( maybe NEX sensor is a bit better).
EVF is non-present if pictures are real. So is flash.
Any one of those should be available through hot shoe....kinda looks like an "ugly" version of the E-P2.

Still confused about the name...not even an "M" in the front plate?

And exactly how many big EF-M lenses have you seen?

I have seen one (18-55mm), that makes %50 of all lenses
You are right, it is not possible to know at the moment but this kit lens I see it as an indicator for the lenses to follow. Canon obviously didn't care to make their kit lens a small one. Anyway, lets wait and see.

Totally absurd camera.

The body size is that of GX1. The 18-55 is the same FOV as the GX1's lens and as fast (or should I say slow) while being twice as big. No flash, no flip-out screen. What have they been smoking?

Guess the 18-55 pics confirm the sensor as aps-c; I'd bet exactly the same sensor as the t4i. It's also highly likely an ef-s -> ef-m adapter is in the works.

If there's no popup flash, what's the switch on the upper right above the lens release button for?

Would be good to see sales statistics on same type of cameras made by Nikon or Sony, I am sure it is another big mistake by Canon. I dont know anyone with this cameras while any store is full of them. I don't have any interest from myself as well, no need in another PS with detachable lens.

That is a sexy little speedlite; I hope (am pretty sure) it works on all EOS cameras. I would mount it on my 5DII at all times!

Why don't you use the 270EX?

+1000

270 EX II is a featherweight and ideal for the 5D II/III when you want to keep weight to a minimum.

Looks pretty interesting. I was thinking of downsizing to a Rebel but after handling one (a 550D to be precise) I'm turned off, especially by the tiny, muddy and barely legible focus point indicators in the viewfinder. Even compared to the old 30D I had. This one might be more up my alley.

Leica M-series cameras have no flash and no flip-out screen either. They seem to work OK.
