Yes, both of these lenses produce amazing background blur, and it looks like Olympus may be announcing another super-fast lens next month, according to 43 Rumors.
Wonderful pics bobbytan, I'm particularly fond of the nocticron shots. I've got the lens and it consistently wows me. Love the nocticron color signature.
Thanks! The Nocticron is my personal favorite lens too. It is as sharp as the 75 wide open, but what makes it better than the 75 (for me) is the versatility of the short tele and the minimum focussing distance. Getting up real close to the subject + f1.2 aperture = really smooth OOF blur and beautiful bokeh.

My finished project. The photo was taken last Fall in the Colorado high country with the EM-5 and Lumix 14-45 lens. In camera key line filter. Print is on canvas, mounted on Gator board , with a protective spray. The barnwood frame came out of old Mexico many years ago and has been in my family for years. I'm coming back to the M43 stuff having had a GH1 a few years back and sold it quickly because it wasn't quite up to the job I needed at the time, but having been via Nikon, Canon & Leica over the years I've come back to the M43 series for the 4K video capabilities of the GH4 but am also looking now at the Oly bodies for photography and selling my final Canon photo body (I still have some Canon cinema line bodies that use Canon lenses).
I'm super impressed by the wide variety of shots posted here, so I guess that means I'm going to be spending some more money! Damn. And those Leica lenses look just the ticket.
I'm going to pick up the Lumix 7-14 but I'm also looking at the Oly 12mm f2 because I often do need to shoot video fairly wide and in low(ish) light. I'm currently using the Lumix 20mm f1.7 and could do with something a bit wider but still a fast(ish) lens. Any others I should be looking at that are both wide and fast?
There are now some amazing native m43 lenses. I would not get the Lumix 7-14/4 if I were you - the CA and flare issues are quite bad. I would wait for Olympus to bring out their 7-14/2.8 lens next year … or consider the Olympus 9-18 lens instead.

Well, initially I'm shooting everything on a Panasonic body which is supposed to compensate for the CA on the 7-14, isn't it? I know the Oly doesn't but I was under the impression the Panasonic does.
The big problem is I need it 'now', not some date next year or even 2016. Either that or I have to buy a new ultra wide for my C100.
I'll take a look at the Oly 9-18, but it's not a constant aperture which I hate big time.
I believe it will correct for distortion but I don't know if it will correct for CA and flare. You could perhaps rent one and play with it for a bit to see if you like it. Shoot it with the sun in the frame or just outside the frame, and see what happens when you import the images into your computer.
the 7-14 is otherwise a very nice lens. I have one and have shot a lot of great photos with it, but the CA and flare + purple blobs bug me a lot!

Thanks Bobby. I'm going to look at the Oly simply because of size and it's also cheaper, and because I'm thinking seriously about picking up an OM for photos since the GH4 will likely remain a video body most of the time, but it's a decision I'm going to have to make fairly soon. That extra width is pretty important to me on internal shots though, something I seem to be doing lots of lately
