Took my Olympus EM10 with me to try out my new 12-40mm f2.8 Pro. Expensive lens for me so I wanted to justify the price. I was impressed with this lens
Mostly processed on my Galaxy Pro 10 tablet using Snapseed. Great app! The second two were from a beachfront park in West Islip, on the other side of the bridge from the first photo, and much closer to the Captree bridge.
Agree. I believe the 7-14 is significantly bigger but it's not a huge lens. Constant f4 aperture is nice. But it won't take filters - well it can, but the filter option is both expensive and cumbersome. The 7-14 range is really nice and compliments the 12-40 PRO very nicely. I would highly recommend the new 7-14/2.8 PRO. I will definitely replace my 7-14 with the Olympus version. The IQ should be real close to the Nikon 7-14 which is a stellar lens.

Oly is a cheap, light, problem-free gem; unluckily 9mm is waaaay different from 7mm
One of the first shots with my E-M1 with 12-40 2.8 that i bought from a user here at FredMiranda..
Will use it for a photo shoot next week since the weather report is all rain and my A7 or RX1 will not be of that much use when its pouring down..
I'll see if i keep it or sell it afterwards (also planning on picking up the 75 1.8 before the shoot).
The camera + lens feels good so far, but totally different from my A7 so have to study and learn during the weekend. I like the responsiveness and the AF looks to be great, the AF tracking i've played around with.
Does anyone of you use AF tracking for people shots, e.g. focus on the face and then have the AF tracking follow it around, does it work ok?

Thanks , yes I started at iso 1250 for this event as the light was not good at all, early evening overcast with dark clouds. Then even at iso 2000 some of the shutter speeds went to 1/250. Out of about 200 shots I managed to edit and keep 127. I've not used noise reduction of any kind, not to keen on it so relied upon down sizing to help in that regard. surprisingly very few out of focus, one or two boarder line which I did use.
